SHOTS AT AEROPLANE
AMERICAN STEEL STRIKE Pilot Pursues Car Press Association —Copyright. New York, June 13. A message from Cleveland states that a victualling aeroplane taking off at the airport after returning from the Republic Steel Corporation’s picketed plants was riddled with shot-gun pellets and almost brought down. An unidentified man alighted from an automobile and discharged both barrels, striking the tail and endangering control of the plane. The pilot chased the car at 80 miles an hour, but was forced to land. Thirty additional police were rushed to the airport.
