Mussolini’s bad temper -was partly lue ito the use of the word “dago,” tnd partly to our lumping Italians with ice.cream vendors, declared Sir Alfred Zimmern, deputy - director League of Nations Institute of Intellectual Co-operation, in addressing the Teachers’ Union. He urged that they should tell the children how world understanding may be realised 1 , but also explain the forces frustrating it.
