SCHOOL FIRE
DARGAVILLE OUTBREAK Suspicion Of Incendiarism Press Assocthtioii—Cooyrcht, Dargaville, June 11. A fire which broke out in the L.irsnville primary school, a .inglestorey wooden building, early this iv. ning, burned out a back room of the wetit wing and spread to the middle section of the building, where fextensive damage was done OnlV six weeks ago the Dargaville District High School was completely destroyed by fire, and' it is now thought that an incendiarist has bien at work. The fire brigade arrived promptli and made a good save. Most oT the school furniture and books in parts ot .the building other It han that which was ablaze were removed by helpers io the playground. The damage was confined principally to the west wing, where the walls, ceiling and rafters were badly burned'. Difficulty will be found in securing accommodation for Ithe pupils who have had their classrooms destroyed or damaged. Th: school committee will probably meet to.morrow morning to discuss what steps to lake. It is felt that the cause ot the fire cannot be accidenltal. The room in which the outbreak occurred is not titited with a fireplace, and it is thought tha|t an- incendiarist hat been at work as the High School fire on April 27, as well ns that of to-night, started under suspicious circumstances and' at about the same time. Investigations into the High School fire, however, have not resulted in any action being taken.
