THREE SPRINGBOKS SERIES
ALL BLACKS BEATEN ONLY ONCE
Three series of matches have been played between Rugby representatives of South Africa and New Zealand and in only one, the 1928 visit of the All Blacks to South Africa, were the All Blacks severely beaten. Two visits have been paid to South Africa, the first in 1919 by the New Zealand Army team and (the second in 1928. When -the Army team visited South Africa it played 15 matches, of which it won 11, drew one, and lost three. Following is the list of maltches played between the AU Blacks and the Springboks in the 1921 and 1928 tours:
