An apology for absence was received from Mr D. Bielawski. When the matter of the quantity of ova to be purchased this year was under discussion it was mentioned that extra pondt would be required if the usual quanltity of ova was to be I hatched this year in order that it j would be possible to have the fish j graded: according to size and give : them the best conditions for growth. ' In the meantime an order is being ! placed for 75,000 oVa with power to I increase the quantity if extra pond accommodaition was made available. The question of extra accommodation will be discussed when a further meeting-of delegates is held to finalis the m’atter of the federation of the West Coast acclimatisation somej ties. The chairman and secretary, I and' Messrs Ebbetlt and Davey, were ' appointed delegates to the meeting. ; Recommend'ations from the annual I meeting regarding the competition ! cups for fishing were fully discussed. ■ A morion that both competition cups j be retained was lost and it was finalj ly decided that one cup for first year | and junior fishermen be provided by • the society for competition.
