RAILWAY STATION SITE
MINISTER’S VISIT Signed Petition Taken To Wellington When Mr W. J. Polson, M.P., i left for Wellington this morning to make various representations on behalf of his constituents, he carried with him two petitions signed <by Stratford business people in connection with the location of the Stratford railway station site. One petition, which bears 71 signatures, asks that the station be located at the present site and the yards extended southwards across Fenton Street, while the other, which bears seven signatures, requests that the station be removed to an area of land at the south end of the town which was puchased by the Government such years ago. Mr Polson will present the petition to the Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, who had previously advised Mr Polson that he would probably visit Stratford at the end of this month.
