BRITISH TEAM SELECTED To Play America In July Press Association —Copyright. (Received 9.35 a.m.) London, June 7. The British Ryder Cup representatives to play the Americans, of whom Hagen is the non-playing Captain, in July, are as follows: —Alites, R. Burton, Cotton, W. J. Cox, King, Padgham, Perry, D. J. Rees, Q. A. Whitcombe (captain). In the Women’s Golf Championship at Turnberry, for which there were 100 entries, the holder and favourite, Miss Pam Barton, in the first round defeated Mrs Galbraith, nine ahd sever!.
