COLD CONDITIONS AT WANGANUI Clarion Call’s Hurdles Press Association —Copyright Wanganui, June 5. There were cold, showery conditions for the first day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s winter meeting. The track was soft. There was a fair attendance. The totalisator handled £12,822 as compared with £12,403 last year, an increase of £419. This increase would have been greater but fo,r the failure of the special train from the 1 north to arrive in time for the first race. Ah inquiry was held after the j Grandstand Steeplechase and W.
