Newsreel pictures of the Duke of Windsor’s wedding will be shown on the Continent and in America, but the film industry has decided to ban the pictures in Great Britain. It is stated that the decision is a voluntary one, but wa s arrived at in conformity with what is understood to be Whitehall’s policy of not affording undue publicity to the Duke.. The film is reported to contain many interesting shots of the couple before and after the ceremony, but no interior picture of either the civil or religious ceiremony.
