PLEA FOR MARRIAGE
Young Men In Far East Singapore, May 25. Young Australians, Englishmen and other Europeans who go “out East” should not be barred from marrying, states the journal of th© -Presbyteriau Church in Malaya. Many banks, commercial firms, rubber estates anid tin mine-s prohibit their employees from marrying until they reach a certain age or salary. “Bachelor life in -the tropics is no Joke,” says the journal. “No European should be brought East of Suez on a second contract unless he is in position to marry and live naturally.”
