During the hearing o f a claim by 52 Unions for an increase in the basic wage, Mr Crofts, who appeared for the Unions, produced a cable message from the act. ing_Prime Minister of New Zealand, Hon. Peter Fraser, which stated that the restoration of the purchasing power to ers by the present Government had been quickly reflected in improved business conditions. Mr Fraser added that there had been no evidence of the fliiglht of capital to Australia as a result of the Government measures in New Zealahd.
