BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICES. STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL. .NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. IS HEREBY GIVEN that in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933” and “Tile Rating Abt; 1925" the Stratford Borough Council, at its meeting to be held on Monday, the 21st June, 1937 intends to make and levy the rates on all rateable property within the Borough of Stratford as follows: — General Rate. A Genera) Rate of 4 l/16d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value pursuant to Section 77 of “The Municipal Corporations Act.” Such rate is for the period com mencing on the Ist dgy of April. 1937 and ending on the 31st day of March, 1938, and is to be payable at the Town Clerk’s Office, Broadway, Stratford, on the Ist day of August, 1937.
Special Rate. Of the Special Rates already levied under various authorities as security for Special Loans raised, a Special Rate of 13d in the pound on the unimproved rateable value will be levied. Such rate is for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1937* and ending on the 31st day of March, 1938, and is to be payable at the Town Clerk’s Office, Broadway, Stratford, on the Ist day of August, 1937.

Water Rate. Pursuant to Section 88 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933" a Water Rate for ordinary supply of 9d in the pound of the annual value over land and buildings in the Borough of Stratford to which water is supplied and a water rate of 4jd in the pound of the annual value over all land and buildings ; in the Borough of Stratford to which I water can be, but is not supplied situated within 100 yards of any part of the Waterworks and for ordinary supply to buildings other than dwelling-houses. Such rate shall be for the period commencing from the Ist. day of, September, 1937, and eriding on the 31st day of August, 1938, and is to be payable at the Town Clerk’s Office aforesaid on the Ist day of August, 1937. Sanitation Fee's, i Pursuant to Section 90 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933” the following uniform annual fees will be levied: (a) A fee of £1 6s per annum for night soil removal. (b) A uniform annual fee of 15/- for removal of refuse to be charged in respect of every property within the Borough which has a building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to remove all refuse. In addition to such annual fee of 15/- the following additional charge will be made for removal of refuse from any- land or building where the refuse is principally trade refuse, or is excessive in quantity: Removal once weekly 11/Removal twice weekly £1 5/Removal three times weekly £2 1 Removal daily £3 5/Removal daily from Hotels, flestaurants and in all cases where refuse is of an offensive nature £7 5 The above annual fees are in respect of the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1937 and ending on the 31st day of March, 1938 and are payable at the Town Clerk's Office, Broadway, Stratford, on the Ist day of August, 1937.
