Gildo Knocks Out Raynor

Young Gildo, the Filipino boxer, knocked out Clarrie Rayner, Blenheim, in the fourteenth round of a professional match at the town hall to-night. Gildo did the leading throughout and took the aggressive from the tenth round onward, keeping up a relentless attack.

Gildo had Rayner down for eight in the eleventh round, for eight in the twelfth and three times for nine in the thirteenth. Though Rayner fought gamely he could not withstand the hurricane attack of the Manilo boxer and took the count for nine twice in the fourteenth round. The Blenheim man went down the third time and made a game attempt to rise at nine, but he fell back on the ropes and Was counted' out.
