BATTING ON GOOD WICKET NEW ZEALAND’S FIRST INNINGS Kerr And Tindill In Attractive Partnership (From th e special correspondent of the Unfted Press Association wifth the team). (Received 115 a.m.) Northampton, June 2. The New Zealanders tuadi a satisfactory day on a good wicket and maintained more than a run a minute all day in the match with Northants. New Zealand scored 334 in the* first innings, sand Northants in the first innings compiled 24 for the loss of two wickets. Kerr and Tindill, in an attractive partnership, gave the side a useful start. Wallaca and Donnelly added 96 in 80 minutes, the latter batting nearly two hours, during which he hit a dozen fours, driving, cutting and pulling with fine freedom. Weir celebrated hie* birthday with his best innings of the tour and batted. methodically and with deliberation.
