ACTING-PRIME MINISTER

Visit To Stratford The Mayor, Mr J. w. McMillan, has received advice that Hon. Peter Fraser, Acting-Prime Minister, will arrive at Stratford at noon on Tuesday next. At 1 p.m. he will be present and will speak at the meeting of women at the Town Hall to be addressed concerning abortion by Dr. Doris Gordon. The gathering is to be under the auspices of the Central Taranaki executive of the Women's Division of the Farmers’ Union. The Minister will officially open the new premises of the Farmers’ Co-op. Society at 2 p.m., and at 3 p.m. he will receive a deputation from the Technical High School Board, leaving later for New Plymouth.
