COUNTY MOTOR DRIVERS. Nine hundred and sixteen motor drivers’ licenses have been issued by the Stratford County Council to dalle out of a total of 1600, reports Mr R. J. Cuff, county inspector. BOROUGH BY-ELECTION. The Stratford branch of 'th e Labour Party decided at a meeting last night not 'Io nominate teny candidates for the by-election for two seats on the Borough Council, but it is understood ther e • is a probability of some members allowing themselves to be nominated. The name of Mr W. J. Hall has been mentioned among others as likely to stand for election, but he informed ‘the "Central Press” to-daty that he could not spar e sufficient time to attend to the duties of a councillor, and positively will not be a candidate. Nominations close’ at the borough office at noon to-morrow.
