SALE CF ORANGES. Although a consignment of 748 cases of oranges arrived at Wellington yesterday, only between 200 and 300 cases were sold. Re'lailers cdtisidered that 'the price fixed by the Government was unreasonable, and therefore refrained from buying. In spite of this decision, however, a number of sales was put through, and about 25 per cent, of the stock was taken.
FEILDING TOWN HALL. lit is the intention of the Feildlng Borough Council to take a plebiscite on the qilestdon of a new Town Hall. Ther e are two issues involved, one being the adoption of the Mayor's proposal to purchase a section in Ferguson Street and erect a hall on it at an estimated cost of £9OOO, and th e other is' the erection of a municipal block on the site of the borough offices with provision for a town hail in addition t.o Hie borough offices.
