By a points decision Lofty Blomfield beat the Russian wrestler Matros Kirilinko in a professional heavyweight bout in the Town Hal! to-night. The Russian a colourful and clever ipatnjan, had the better of the early rounds, repeatedly worrying Blomfield with short arm scissors and taking a fall by this means in the fifth round. From then op, however, Blomfield set the pace and in the seventh tripped Kirilinko, developed a toe hold and rose suddenly to his feet amid the plaudits of the large crowd. Kirilinko sprawling entwined in the toils of Blomfleld’s dreaded octopus clamp. Blomfield had much the better of the final round. On hearing the decision Kirilinko strove vainly to address the crowd and stamped round the ring waving his "arms.
