FORCED LANDING

Llewellyn’s Plane Damaged Press Association—Copyright. Bulawayo, May 31. Flying-Officer Llewellyn made a forced landing at Serowe. His machine struck an ant heap and was badly damaged. Llewellyn was jammed in his seat, but was extricated by natives. Llewellyn started front Cape Town for London at 4 a.m. in an attempt on the Cape to London record. He was previously forced to return to Cape Town owing to engine trouble.
