Nash and considered the policy for the main, tenance of an adequate Mercantile Marine under the British flag as a master of common concern to the Empire. The discusshm concerning the implications of sacn a policy revea’ed many difficulties and considerable divergence of opinion. To-day’s discussions did not touch on the Pacific, as it is a separate problem.
