An anti-cyclone is now located east of tlhe North Island, and a. rather deep depression is advancing slowly across the Tasman Sea. The forecast is for moderate northerly winds freshening and later reaching gale force in places.. The weather wil'l be fair and mild at fir'-t, but clouding over and rain developing after about 16 hours. Seas, moderate, but later rising.
