YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH Struck While Crossing Road Press Association—Copyright. Auckland, May SO. One young woman was killed and another injured when while crossing Victoria Road at Belmont shortly before 8 o’clock on Saturday night they were struck by a motor car proceeding towards Takapunt.. Fracture of the base of the skull and head injuries resulted in the almost immediate death of Mrs Eva Elizabeth Hunt, aged 26 years, of Takapuna, while her companion. Miss Gabrielle Beattie, aged 20 years, of Mount Eden, suffered concussion, facial injuries and shock. Ths motor car, which was an old touring type, was driven by John Albert Gibson, aged 20 years, a student.
