TEACHING GEOGRAPHY
New System At The Cape Pless Association—Copyright. Cape Town, May 14. Lessons from the top of Table Mountain— 3600 ft. above sea level!— are soon to .be made a feature in the timetables of every school in Cape Town. Experiments have already been made in teaching children geography and botany from the top of the mountain, and 1000 boys and girls have been up the mountain for the purpose. Now the idea is to be extended to all schools here. By means of the bird’s-eye view of the- Cape Peninsula they obtain from the top, the children are being taught to appreciate tne geography of their country. Th'y themselves are all in favour of the scheme. They .get a thrill from the nde m the aerial cableway to the mountain top.
