Boon, McGregor, .senr., S. McGregor, G. Carter and Miss Vincent. * .* * Mrs G. Garter, Regan Street, entertained friends at bridge on Wednesday night. The hostess wore a frock of black georgette with a becoming silver metal cloth bridge eoat. The guests were: Mesdames L.G- Pope, Newell, N. O. Ebbett, W, : Simons, J. C. Allen, H. Bishop, Larribert, E. W. McCullough, W. Curd, Baden Bellringer,. N. H. Moes, J. Coupe, R. Strachen, the Misses B. Masters and M. Curd. * * * Mrs E. P. Hill, of Mangatoki, entertained some of her Stratford

friends at bridge on Thursday afternoon., Her spacious reception room was gay with autumn tinted flowers and leaves, and the hostess was wearing a becoming gown of brown and white silk marocain.
