A new hotel is to be built by Commercial Hotel (Hamilton), Limited, on the site of the present Commercial Hotel at the corner -of Victoria and Collingwood Streets, Hamilton. The estimated cost is £70,000. Work is to commence shortly on demolishing the present wooden •jtracture and on replacing it with a fire-resisting three_sSoreyed buikffing of modern type. The new hotel’will have 74 bedrooms, and the dining room will have seating accommodation for 240 people. Five shops will occupy the frontage to’ Victoria Street.
