Three aeroplanes conveying twen-ty-three men and supplies of food and equipment for the Polar meteorological station, took off on their 550 mile flight from Prince Rudolf Island. Molotiv’s plane, with eight men, reached its destination twelve and ahalf miles from the pole; Alexiev’s seven landed fourteen miles from the pole, and Mazuruk’s plape, with six men, has not been heard of for thirteen hours.
