, IN BURNING HOUSE j Woman’s Timely Discovery Dargaville, May 26. ; A sleeping child w»as saved from certain death when a six-roomed ; wooden dwelling, owned and occuj pied by Mr. J. Segeden>, on the out_ I skirts of Dargaville, was totally des royed by fire this morning. The fire is believed to have started near the kitchen range and was first seen by Mrs. Segeden, who was washing in an outhouse at the time. She rushed into the burning build- ' ing, Laving a sleeping child just in ! time. Nothing was saved, the fire , being out of control when the bri_ I gade arrived. • The building was insured for £335 | and the effects for £lOO.
