Annual Meeting Remits Support was accorded the following remits at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Jersey Breeders’ Association:— That of the six judges now in office and engaged in classification work, one be retired each year and one new judge .appointed in his place.—(Proposed by Mr. H. J. Kaye). That the system of allocation of CB.B. be revised either on a sliding scale or age of th e cow to the- half year. For instance, that the 2-year-old age be put up to 2J years for 520 lbs. fat, 21 years to 31 years, for 580 lbs fat, 3J to 44 years for 640 lbs. fat, over 4J yelars, 700 lbs ft, —(Mr. C. Cl-emow). That the association consider the question of allowing club s to allocate tip to 50 per’cent. of their donations; plus subsidy from the parent body, to local classes at A l . .and P. Show®, (Mr. E. W. Leach). The following remit moved by Mr. J. Cocker was defeated.— “That it be a recommendation to the council that the association pay half of the travellong expense® of one club’s delegate to th e association’s annual meetings, thereby assisting the respective clubs to have direct representations at leaßt one a year.” The meeting strongly disapproved of the grade bull being included with the pedigree animal in the proposed sire survey scheme.
