Retirement of Mr R. R. Curtis Mr R. R. Curtis, who has been a member of the Stratford Borough Council since* the 1933 election, has resigned his position. Jt is unlikely that the filling of his position and that of the deputy-Mayor, Dr. W. P. P. Gordon, will be considered before Ihe next meeting of the council. It is understood that Councillor Curtis forwarded his 1 resignation immediately after the monthly council meeting on March 15, when the council decided to use motor trucks on. the King Edward Park levelling work.
