Delay In Unloading In Auckland Press Association—Copyright Auckland, May 18. A large proportion, of a heavy consignment of Californian oranges brought by the Mariposa, which reach, ed Auckland last Friday, was carried on to Sydney by the vessel. Although the ship remained' in port overnight and did not sail for Australia until Saturday evening it was not found possible to unload the whole of the orange shipment. Some of the delay was caused by rain. These oranges were costing 40s a case to land, but in view of the Shortage on the market there was a keen 'demand for them. However, every importer had a large share of his, consignment carried on to Sydney and will be faced" with a heavy loss. The Mariposa is due back from Sydney on May 31 and the remainder of the oranges will come into a well supplied! market.
