WRESTLING BOUT

When his flying tackle flew wide the Yiddish professional wrestler, Sammy Stein, who met Hal Rumberg in place of Lofty Blomfield at Wellington to-night, pitched clean through the ropes and landed hard on the edge of the ring, he was unable to return. His supporters hoisted him on to the platform and Rumberg, who at that stage was a fall behind, dumped and pressed him. , Stein entered the ring gamely for the sixth and last round, although manifestly groggy, and his right arm hung useless. The referee stopped the bout and awarded the decision to Rumberg. DRAW AT OAMARU Press Association—Copyright. Dunedin, May 17. A wrestling bout at Oamaru to-night between Kirilinko, 16st„ and Don McIntyre, 15st. 131 b., resulted in a draw. The Russian secured a submission fall in the fifth round with an Indian deathlock and Mclntyre equalised with a submission fall in the seventh round with shart-arm scissors.
