PROBATION GRANTED
Serious Charges At Napier Press Association—Copyright. NnPier, May 17. . Holga Pedersen, aged 26, and Kenneth Burgess, aged 19, were placed on 12 months’ probation in the Supreme Court by the Chief Justie, Sir Michael Myers, to-day. They appeared on charges of attempting unlawful carnal knowledge of young girls. After asking several questions regarding the character of the girls. Hits Honour remarked that it was the duty of the court to protect the young -men of the community from certain types of girls, as much as respectable girls against, certain young men.
