PERSONAL.

Mr J. Morrison is at present on holiday at Auckland. Mr T. Lawn, of Auckland, who has been visiting his mother, Mrs C. Lawn, Opunake Road, left by the express this morning on a business trip to Christchurch. Mr H. I. Forde, of the Wellington Evening Post literary staff, has been appointed editor of the "Journal of Agriculture” and publicity officer for the Department of Agriculture. Mr L. B. Hutton, the newly-appoinL ed assistant general manager and engineer of the tramway and elec' tricity department of the Wellington City Corporation, is to take up his new duties to-day. Mr Hutton was formerly the engineer to the Southland Power Board. Squadron Leader W. M. Buckley, officer commanding the Hobsonville Air Base, will leave for England tomorrow on exchange with the Royal Air Force for two years. His successor at Hobsonville has not yet been, announced.
