FORESTERS’ EUCHRE
Grand Coronation Evening Thirty-six tables were occupied at the Foresters’ Hall on Saturday night for a grqnd Coronation euchre and dance. The hall was decorated for the occasion and a carnival spirit prevailed The ladies’ Coronation euchre prize was won by Mrs Papprill, who ilso won the ladies’ first prize, Mrs P. Jones being second. Mrs Kermode won the consolation prize and Mrs C.. Read secured the special prize. The men’s prizes were won by: Mr R Collins Coronation prize, Mr Kermode 1, Mr D. McNeill 2, Mr G. McQuay consolation, Mr Linnell second. A waltzing competition judged by Mr Shelter and Mr Wisnewski was won by Mr and Mrs Kermode. Mr K. Webb and Miss Voight won a Monte Carlo dance. Wright’s dance band supplied the music.
