Lovely Luise Rainer, star of “The Great Ziegfeld,” which was shown recently at the Plaza. She plays the peasant wife of a poor Chinese farmer in “The Good Earth,” on which M.G.M have spent £500,000. As the result of her acting in this film, Luise Rainer, is to be starred in four more, the first being “The Emperor’s Candlesticks,” in which she will again play opposite William Powell.
