STEAMER SERVICE Proposed Resumption Auckland’, May 15. Advice has been received by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce from the Norfolk Island Chamber of Commerce that 'there is a prospect of resumption of the steamer service between the island and Auckland',. The Norfolk Island people are endeavouring to arrange for the Burns, Philp steamer Morin da to make two trips to Auckland from the, island in the period from June to-Ahgust next, and are ready to ship 2500 cases of oranges and a quantity of o her produce. It is suggested that in order to carry out the service the Morinda should! leave Sydney a week earlier than the present schedule. Inquiries are - ; now being made in Auckland to ascertain what cargo would be offering, for the return trip to the island.
