VITAL MATTERS DIFFICULT SITUATION Deliberations At Imperial Conference (British Official Wireless.) Received 12.5 p.m. Rugby, May 14. Referring to the work before the Imperial Conference, at to-day’s Plenary Session, Mr Stanley Baldwin said it was agreed, before the conference, that the questions of foreign affairs and defence should be their main subjects. It was fitting that they should be, for they were met at a time when the international situation was difficult, even threatening, and the responsibility rested upon them to see that their deliberations not only were of service to themselves, but also might help in some measure toward the solution of those international problems which were perplexing the world.
