Mails will close at the Stratford Post Office as follows: Great Britain, Ireland, Europe, Canada, United States of America, Mexico and West Indies, via Vancouver; also Fiji, Tahiti, Apia, Pago Pago, Hawaiian Islands and Fanning Island per Niagara, on Monday, May 17, at 7.45 p.m. Australian States, Norfolk Island, Ceylon, India, Japan, Straits Settlements, South Africa, Egypt and Italy per Awatea on Tuesday, May 18. at 4.30 p.m. Also Air Mail Correspondence via Australia-Singapore-England Air Service per Awatea on Tuesday, May 13, at 4.30 p.m., also per Mariposa on Friday May 14, at 7.45 p.m. GOVERNMENT RECEPTION. Two thousand guests attended a reception given at Government Hotuse, Wellington, yesterday afternoon by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, to commemorate the Coronation of their Majesties. It was one of the most, representative gatherings ever seen at Wellington. The guests included the actlng-Prlme Minister, Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, and Mrs Fraser.
