AVON CROQUET CLUB
Official Closing Day The official closing of the Aron Croquet Club took place in fine weather. Ths president, Mrs Burton, welcomed members and remarked on the good spirit maintained throughout the season. The pavilion was decorated in Coronation colours by Mrs C. Masters. Competition winners were: Championship shield. Mrs Masters; runnerup, Mrs R. Jenkins; B cup, Mrs Lamplough; C cup, Mrs Betts; Trotter Cup, Mrs Lampshire; A, Mrs Lampshire; B, Mrs Lamplough; C, Mrs Savage. A competition held throughout the season for social members resulted; Mrs Rowell 1, Miss Lamplough 2. The competitions for the day were won by Mrs Morton and Mrs Buckley an 1 progressive croquet by Mrs Martin. Mrs Moore was presented with a crystal sugar basin.
