AUSTRALIAN TRIP Clarence River Memories After an absence of 40 years, Mr M. G. Trotter, of Stratford, and his brother, Mr R. J. Trotter, of Wellington, have been visiting their native town Cowper, in New South Wales, and an account of their travels is given in newspaper extracts received in Stratford. While at Cowper they met three persons who were residents in their school days and a very pleasant time was spent in discussing the past and the changes during their absence. During the afternoon of their visit they went to the local school and for few minutes gave the children a short address on New Zealand and the customs of the Maoris. While waiting at the wharf for the return steamer to Gratton, the oldest b«at plying on the river, the Perseverance. hove in sight. The brothers remembered and watched her pass by. At Ute Anzac Day commemoration at Grafton, Mr R. J. Trotter placed a wreath on the memorial in the name of the New Zenlandi Anzacs.
