The Duke of Windsor has presented Mrs* Simpson (in future she will be known as Mrs Wallis Warfield) with an engagement ring containing a rectangular emerald of a rare, translucent green, set in a narrow band of white gold and platinum. T'he Duke himself designed the setting of the ring, which matches the emerald and the diamond necklace, pendant and earrings which he will present to the bride on the wedding day*. The Duke of Windsor plans to remain indoors and listen to theCoron, ation broadcast. He will send his brother a special message to_morrow. It will be of a personal nature and will not be published. He will later telephone him and convey his personal greetings.
