Palmer, formerly In_ ' spector-General of Hospitals and Pri- ! sons in Assam, who is to retire shortly from the Indian Army Medical Ser_ vice, is paying a short visit to New Zealand. Mr E. S. Summers arrived at Stratford from Invercargill yesterday to take over the position of Transport Department traffic inspector for the Taranaki district.
