Greatest Day of Her Majesty’s Life London, May 1 IQueen Elizabeth will spend four hours being dressed for the greatest day of her life, says the Daily Mail. She has given instructions to be called at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, and she will step into the gold coach at 10.30 a.m. Apart from half an hour occupied at breakfast the time will be taken up by her hairdresser, personal maid and dress fitter. The important task ot dressing the Queen will be entrusted to her maid, Miss Catherine Maclean, who dressed her for her wedding. The hairdresser will arrive at 7 a.m. The Queen’s coiffure will not be elaborate, but it will take an hour to arrange, as Her Majesty has long hair, which is more difficult to dress than short. She will keep a fringe, but the coiffure will be arranged to enable her to be anointed during the CoronationThe dress fitter and assistant are due at 8.30 a.m. to supervise arrangement of the Coronation gown. The Queen is blessed with a beautiful complexion and uses little make-up— a light dusting of powder, the faintest touch of rouge and’ the smallest quantity of lipstick, which she will put oh herself. Her nails will be polished to their natural shade. They will wear silver shoes. For the first time in history Dominion troops mounted guard at the Royal Palaces yesterday. Canada, as the oldest Dominion, supplied yesterday’s guard- To-day the Australian contingent is doing duty. New Zealanders, South Africans and Indians will also have turns of guard duty.
