W. McDonald at Awapuni prior to being .sent across to his owner. Mr. E. J. WL.t!, Sydney, will race as The Squire. *• * * Owing to Mr. A. Vincent’s being engaged at the Egmont Racing Club’s Meeting at Hawera on May 12 and 15, he is linable to act as starker for the Waipa Racing Club, which holds its winter fixture on May 15, «ndJ Mr M». Crimmins has been appointed in his stead. * * * Th e Trentham trainer W. J. Wood, has secured from Mr. J. Fuller a lease of a yearling chestnut gelding by Rabbi from the Camp Fire mare .Alpine Camp, and thus, a three-quar-ter relative to Arctic King, and he will bring him back wi h him from Hawera after the Egmont Meeting. ** . * Two interesting yearling colts have lecently been handled at Rxjcarton. They are the property of Mrs. W. MacK nzie, Dunedin, and are to be sent this week to F. Shaw at Wingatui to be broken in and put through their early education. One is a. son of Nightmarch and Palatua, both New Zealand Cup winners, and the other is a brother to Palantua by Paludin from Man' ua. Palantua has another foaj running with her by Nightmarch.
