PEDESTRIAN LANES
Line Of Cars Held Up Although motorists are obliged to give way to itiraffic across pedestrian ianes, a considerable lack of discretion was shown by people traversing the Fenton Street footway iC the intersection of Broadway after the foo ball match on Saturday afternoon. Immedilatf ly the game was finished a large number of cars left the vicinity of the Park, only to be halted at he Fenton S reet crossing by a train from the south entering the station. The cars, which were only delayed for a few seconds, moved off at U very slow pace and were frequently brought to a standstill by people crossing the pedestrian lane. However, these delays were minimised when the Borough Inspector, Mr A. E. Sayers, was able to come from the rear of the procession and take control of the traffic.
