EVERYTHING IN READINESS Great Attraction For Coronation Day The official opening of Stratford’s ; aerodrome, on the Esk_Flint Road, has been so well discussed locally that the general public do noiu need £n emphatic remnder of importance. Nearly everybody is interested in aviation, and some tire more airminded than others. But there are nd‘J many who can resist the appeal of an air pageant, and Stiu.tford’s “Hendon, on Coronation Day, is sure to draw a huge crowd. It will be a great day for the town. Interesting visiting pilots are expec9edl, a N.Z. Union Alirways liner is coming, and throughout the day there will be the added tilhrill of parachute jumping by Mr Pegley, of Wellington, who is an expert in this sport, and who is out to eclipse the New Zeal'and record. Formation flying, forced landing competitions, wi relets control of ’planes, stunting and aerobaMc displays—these are only some of the splendid attractions that will be by the huge crowd expected. The Aero Club has worked untiringly for the pageant, and has seen thlat every arrangement will be in smooth working order. There will be special trains and transport to and from the grounds, catering for luncheon and tea, and the price of admission is most reasonable —adults Is, children 6d, and cars ls.

Flying will commence at 11 am., and at 2.15 o’clock there will be a break for Ihe official opening ceremony by Mr W. J. Polson, M.P. An added a traction at the pageant will be thei “Flying Flea,” which wii.s built by Mr Brian McMillan, of Stratford.
