Week’y Auction Sale At the weekly auction sale conducted by Messrs Newton King, Ltd., on Friday, prices ranged as follow: Poultry.—Hens 9d to 3s 3d; pullets 4s 3d to 10s (top price this season, specially fine lot); cockerels Is 6d to 2s 9d; drakes Is Bd. Vegetables.—Swedes 2s sugar bag; carrots 2s 6d; parsnips 3s; cabbages 4s Gd to Gs dozen, smaller 4s to Gs sacks; cauliflowers 6s sack; onions Gs to 7s sugar bag; potatoes 10s cwt; pumpkins 12s sack; pie melons 15s to 17s sack. Fruit. —Apples dessert 2s 6d to 4s half case; 5s to 7s bushel; cookers 2s Gd to 3s Gd half case; tomatoes 2s to 4s quarter case; pears 2s Gd to 4s Gd half case
