Mrs. O’Halloran, who has been visiting Miss T. Leydon, of Toko, has returned to her home near Opunake. * * * Miss Ironmonger has returned from an enjoyable visit to friends in Auckland. * * * Mrs H. Cook, Huinga, gave a very jolly dance for her daughter Beth, who was married to Mr. James Roberts. There was a large crowd from Stratford. Amongst them were: Mr. and Mrs. E. W. McCullough, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Williams, W. D. Farquharson, Mr. and Mrs. J. Polson, Mr. and Mrs. France, Mr. and Mrs. Femmell, Mr. and Mrs. Norton, Mr. and Mrs. J. Petrie, Mr. and Mrs. Worthington, Mr. and Mrs. H. Masters, the Miss.es McCready, Falkner, A. Grant, Messrs. Jackson, Bird and Stratton. Mrs. Robson won the “Log Cabin’’ lucky number. The. bride was presented by the Fanners’ Co-op. with an electric iron and toaster.
Mrs. L. C. Jolly, Page Street, held her usual monthly bridge parties this Tuesday and Wednesday, in connection with the citildren’s Health Camp. There were apologies from at least ten people who were unable to be present. Those playing were: Mte&dames P. Thomson,, H. North, O. M. Curtis, J. Hunt, J. B. Richards, D. Steven, S. Pitt, R. Curtis, H. Graham, Li Furrie, P. C. Allen, Bishop, H. Heslop, R. Rawles, Shannon, Marchant, C. Lambert, R. Tyrer, J. Petrie. Stephens, Galbraith, Blick, Summer field, Brocklebank, Bowie, A. H. R. Am ess, Bremner; the Misses Squires, Galbraith, Etplin, M. Porritt, J. Bremner and Spence.
