Taranaki Executive Officers The following were present fih a meeting of tihe Taranaki Football Association: Messrs Lt Sturmey (New Plymouth, in the chair), L. Plant, D. Fink. C. Cummings, Beare, F, Starling (Hawera), G. Lawrence, R. Rae, V. Upshall, H. Hall. A. Nicoll (New Plymouth, secretary), W. Langlands, J. Williamson, J. Skinner (Auroa), W. Johnston, J. Collingwood (Wlaitara), and T. Smith (Stratford). The annual statement, of accounts as audited was read to the meeting. The receipts showed a bank credit balance at April 1, 1936, of £1 6s, and totalled £3O 17s 6d. The ex- . ke’nditip'e amounted to £2B 2s 3d, leaving a credit balance of £2 15s 3d. Liabilities were £l5 10s' Bd, and assets £23 16s 4d. The. excess of assets 1 over liabilities was given as £8 5s Bd. It was decided ’to commence the present season’s accounts afresh with acceptance of liabilities totalling £3 15s sd. Mr Sturmey’s offer to part of the expense was accepted. 11l future, it was decided, no (account should be paid without authorisation by the association. The officers tor ‘the present year will be nou-players, and were elected as follows: President, Mr L. Sturmey (New Plymouth); secretary, Mr A. A. AlcNicoll (New Plymouth); treasurer, Mr W. Johnston (Brixton); executive, Messrs J. Collingwood (Okoke), N. Heyes 1 (RatapikO), L. Fink (Hjawera), H. Hall (New Ply-
mouth), G. •Laurence. (New Plymouth), T. Smith (Stratford), and C, Cummings (Hawera). A anganui and Taranaki junior teams, it was proposed, should play, a i curtain-raiser to the England v. .Taranaki-Wanganui game at Wlani ganui, said Mr Sturmey; the return game to be played later at New Plymouth. The arrangement of the game was left to Mr Sturmey, provided the association was involved in no expense. The selectton of ‘the team was left to Messrs Sturmey, W Rae Hud G. Lawrence. It was decided to combine all Taranaki ‘teams in one competition and to play all matches between Auroa and North Taranaki teams at Stratford. The redrawing of fixtures was left to Messrs Sturmey and A. A Nicoll, the secretary. On account of the unevenness of the Stratford ground and of the New Plymouth racecourse ground, it" was decided ‘to transfer the venue of next Saturday’s trial match to Hawera, to begin ia ; t 3 p.m. It was also decided to organise a junior trial game at ' New Plymouth on Saturday.
