School Teachers Besieged Press Association—Copyright Hong Kong, April 28. Disappointed because, they} were not allowed to go to a mixed camp, pupils at Wuchang school besieged Hie headmaster and teachers in the budding. Coolies who rushed to help the teachers had stones' benches, and jnk-stands thrown at them. The trouble began when teachers, who acted as chaperons, failed to arrive at the camp, so that it. could not be held. A pupils’ deputation was then sent to the school authorities, but a board member tore up their writ'en ultimatum, ( and threw them out. The children then decided to besiege the teachers. Af er a truce had been called, the cchool board asked parents to withdraw all the children, so that they could cool off. The pupils marched off in a body, but returned after negotiations.
